southern italians and greeks

So taking apart western Sicilians who naturally make some link to Tynisia (which is so close afterall), eastern Sicilians and southern Italians' genetically closest relatives are the modern Greeks. Which is amazing considering that the two populations had drastically different histories and fates. Both Greeks and south Italians are the prime example of the anthropologic type called Mediterranean and it is them that define it. We call Mediterranean ONLY the one who looks like a Greek or S.Italian
